The pultruded grating is assembled by different types of pultrusion profiles including I beam, T shape, square bar, and special rod. The pultruded profiles are made with fiberglass and resin by heating and pultrusion.
FRP grating is different from other metal grating. FRP grating is corrosion resistant, rust protection, long shelf life, maintenance free and light weight. Therefore, FRP grating performs better in many asepcts.

1. What's the cost difference between FRP grating and steel grating?
The FRP grating cost is about 1.5 times of steel grating cost. The installation cost is about 30% that of steel grating, and maintenance cost is almost nothing. The steel gratings requires maintaining every year, so the accumulated cost is high when time goes. Because of this, even the FRP grating cost is slightly higher than steel grating, but the overall cost is lower. So, we would recommend FRP grating as it's more economical.
2. Does FRP grating requires maintainess?
FRP grating is maintainess free. Once it's installed, then it's all finished without further bothering. You can forget it after installation. FRP grating is easy cleaning. The open meshes allow the debris falling through grating panel and prevent hazardous waste buildup on the walking surface side.
The molded-in color is ultraviolet resistant thus it's not fading. The structure is inherent corrosion resistant. All these mean no need for re-painting after long time exposed to the sun.
